UNUSA CEHP and Tenggilis Mejoyo Sub-District Head Set Up Wastewater Treatment at the RW Level

Surabaya - The Center for Environmental Health of Pesantren (CEHP) of Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA) held intensive discussions with the Tenggilis Mejoyo sub-district head to design and prepare a wastewater treatment system that will be implemented at the Rukun Warga (RW) level. This initiative aims to improve environmental quality and public health through more effective and environmentally friendly domestic waste management.

During the meeting, CEHP and the sub-district discussed various technical and strategic aspects related to the wastewater treatment plant that can be operated independently at the RW level. This system is expected to overcome the problem of water pollution which has been a challenge in the Tenggilis Mejoyo area, while supporting local government programs in maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

This collaborative step is part of CEHP's efforts to implement appropriate technology that suits the needs of local communities, while empowering residents to take an active role in managing their own environment. With the support of the Tenggilis Mejoyo sub-district head, the wastewater treatment program at the RW level is expected to be realized soon and become a model for sustainable waste management in Surabaya.
