PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Wins Two TJSL 2025 Awards Thanks to Environmental Innovation at Islamic Boarding School with CEHP UNUSA

PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (Pelindo TPK) together with the Center for Environmental Health of Pesantren (CEHP) Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) successfully received an award for the pesantren transformation program they are running. The award was won at the 2025 TJSL & CSR Award event organized by BUMN Track at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta.

Pelindo TPK received the Silver Award for the Environmental Pillar thanks to environmental innovation in pesantren, especially through the "Clean Water for Santri" program which provides a clean water filtration system and environmentally friendly Incinerator in pesantren such as Bustanul Ulum and Hidayatun Najah. This program has been running since 2023 and focuses on creating a clean and healthy pesantren environment.

This year, the program was developed into the One Month One Pesantren initiative, a collaboration with CEHP UNUSA, which launched an innovation in the form of Water Treatment and Incinerator Mobile to reach more pesantren in remote areas. This innovation not only provides facilities, but also instills awareness and practices of sustainable environmental management among students.

This award confirms the commitment of Pelindo TPK and CEHP UNUSA in supporting the transformation of traditional Islamic boarding schools into a more modern, clean, and environmentally friendly environment, as well as being a long-term investment for the future of Islamic boarding school education in Indonesia.
