Installation of UNUSA-Water as Water Filters at Pesantren Al-Hidayah Jambi Improves The Quality of Clean Water for Santri

As part of its efforts to improve sanitation and health within the Pesantren, Pesantren Al-Hidayah, located on Jl. Madrasah SK 21, Bangun Karya Village, Rantau Rasau District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province, has recently installed a sophisticated UNUSA-Water as water filter system. This water filter is specifically designed to transform previously cloudy and unfit for consumption water into safe, clean, high-quality water that meets health standards for daily use by Santri and teaching staff. The installation of UNUSA-Water as water filters at this Pesantren is part of a program to support community quality improvement, fully funded by the Yayasan Dana Sosial (YDSF). The foundation is strongly committed to helping various educational and social institutions gain access to clean water, a vital basic need.

According to the management of the Pesantren Al-Hidayah, the water filter has significantly impacted teaching and learning activities and the Santri' daily activities, as they can now access clean water directly from a source that previously did not meet health standards. Furthermore, the filter installation supports the Pesantren's efforts to maintain environmental cleanliness and reduce the risk of diseases transmitted through contaminated water.

The head of the Center for Environmental Health of Pesantren (CEHP), Achmad Syafiuddin, revealed that the UNUSA-Water as water filter technology used is capable of filtering various types of dirt and contaminants, so that the resulting water is not only visually clear but also safe from various harmful microorganisms. With this device, Pesantren Al-Hidayah can ensure its clean water needs are met sustainably without having to rely on expensive and environmentally unfriendly bottled water supplies. It is hoped that this collaborative initiative between CEHP UNUSA and YDSF will serve as an example in efforts to improve access to clean water and enhance the quality of life of the surrounding community.
