Installation of UNUSA-Water Filters at Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah in Lampung, a Solution to Address Gas-Smelling and Unusable Well Water

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, UNUSA-Water water filter devices were installed at the Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah in Lampung, with the aim of overcoming water quality issues arising from the use of borehole wells by the boarding school. This borehole water source has a specific challenge: the water emerging from the well feels warm and contains gas, resulting in an unpleasant odor that could potentially disrupt the comfort and health of the boarding school residents. The filtration system works by first pumping water from the borehole to the UNUSA-Water filter, where various harmful gases and other contaminants are effectively removed through the filtration process. After going through the filtration process, the clean water produced is then channeled into a storage tank to be stored temporarily before being distributed for various daily needs in the boarding school environment, ranging from drinking water, bathing, to cooking. As a result, the water that has undergone this filtration process has significantly better quality compared to its condition before filtration, where it previously contained gases and had an unpleasant odor. After filtration, the water is proven to be free of such gases and is now safe and comfortable for use by all residents of the boarding school.
