Pesantren Al Anwar Bangkalan now Enjoys Clean Water Thanks to UNUSA-Water Filters and Support from PT Pegadaian

Pesantren Al Anwar is located at Jl. PP Al Anwar No. 09 RT. 01 RW. 01. Patereman Village, Modung District, Bangkalan Regency, Madura 69166. Pesantren Al Anwar is an Islamic educational institution that has been established since 1995 and currently has more than 1500 students. In the educational process, this Islamic boarding school provides accommodation for students who come from various regions. The daily activities of the students involve the use of water for various purposes such as bathing, ablution, cooking, and consumption. Pesantren Al Anwar Bangkalan, received assistance from the UNUSA-Water as water filter system funded by PT. Pegadaian.

This step was taken to ensure the quality of clean water used by students and all residents of the Pesantren is more guaranteed and healthy. With the water filter, the water source from PDAM which was previously used directly now goes through a filtering process so that it is safer for consumption and free from dangerous microorganism contaminants. The installation of the UNUSA-Water water filter is part of an effort to improve facilities within the Pesantren to support the health and comfort of the students in their daily educational and religious activities.

Kyai Muchlis, the head of the Pesantren Al Anwar Bangkalan, expressed his appreciation for the support of PT Pegadaian, which has helped finance this project, enabling the school to utilize modern technology for improved water quality. In addition to improving water quality, this filter system is also expected to reduce the risk of health problems caused by unclean water, such as digestive disorders and skin diseases. With a properly filtered water source, Pesantren Al Anwar is optimistic about creating a healthier environment and maximizing educational support.
