Installation of UNUSA-Water Water Filters at the Yayasan Sosial Sunan Muria Al-Islami Semarang Supported by Berbuatbaik

Yayasan Sosial Sunan Muria Al-Islami is located in Mulyosari Village, RT 02, RW 05, Kebontaman, Kalikayen, Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, Central Java 50519. Yayasan Sosial Sunan Muria Al-Islami is a social institution that provides shelter and education for orphans and underprivileged children. Yayasan Sosial Sunan Muria Al-Islami Semarang was founded by Ustadz Muslih in 2013. Currently, the orphanage accommodates around 30 children of various ages, from 4 years old to adults. In addition to providing shelter, Yayasan Sosial Sunan Muria Al-Islami Semarang also functions as an Pesantren (Islamic boarding school). Here, the orphanage children are taught Islamic religious knowledge and receive formal education, with the hope that the orphanage children can achieve their dreams despite their limited conditions.

Yayasan Sunan Muria Al-Islami Semarang now enjoys clean drinking water after the successful installation of UNUSA-Water water filters. The filter installation program received funding support from the philanthropic organization Berbuatbaik as part of an effort to improve the health of students through the provision of clean, drinkable water. The water source comes from a river flowing around the Islamic boarding school. The river water is channeled through a UNUSA-Water filter system specifically designed to filter out various contaminants, making it safe to drink. With this filter, students have direct access to clean, healthy water without having to worry about possible contamination or diseases caused by unsafe water.

The Islamic boarding school welcomed this initiative, as it has a tangible positive impact on the well-being of its students and the surrounding environment. In addition to improving drinking water quality, this program also serves as a concrete example of collaboration between educational institutions and the community in maintaining environmental health and cleanliness. Berbuatbaik hopes that other institutions will follow suit to ensure that all levels of society have access to clean and healthy water. This program demonstrates a shared commitment to creating a healthier and more sustainable environment for future generations.
