Tenggilis Mejoyo District Government Visits UNUSA CEHP Office to Discuss Incinerator Implementation and Equipment Review with CEHP Chair

The Tenggilis Mejoyo District Government conducted a significant visit to the Center for Environmental Health of Pesantren (CEHP) office at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) to discuss the implementation of Incinerator Technology in the Tenggilis Mejoyo District. This activity aimed to explore more effective waste management solutions through the use of Incinerators as an environmentally friendly and smokeless waste burning tool. The visit focused on the benefits and implementation of Incinerators, which are key to improving environmental management in the district.


During the visit, the district government, along with the Head of CEHP UNUSA, Achmad Syafiuddin, Ph.D., directly inspected the Incinerator unit that had been prepared by CEHP UNUSA staff. This review provided an opportunity to learn in detail the working mechanism of the Incinerator and how this tool can be operated optimally to support cleanliness and at the same time reduce the environmental impact of waste. The Head of CEHP UNUSA, who is also known as an expert in the field of environmental engineering, provided a comprehensive explanation of the advantages of Incinerator Technology and how its implementation is planned to empower the local community.


Through this collaboration and visit, the Tenggilis Mejoyo District Government hopes to realize the effective implementation of an Incinerator in their area to address the waste problem that has been a challenge. The direct inspection and discussion with the Head of CEHP UNUSA is a strategic step to ensure the success of this project while ensuring the equipment used complies with established health and environmental conservation standards. This demonstrates the district government's commitment to supporting waste management technology innovation to create a clean and healthy environment in Tenggilis Mejoyo District.
