Installation of the UNUSA-Incinerator at PT Habitat Hijau Lestari: A Smokeless Waste Incineration Solution to Reduce Air Pollution
On October 12, 2025, the UNUSA-Incinerator system wassuccessfully installed at PT Habitat Hijau Lestari, West Jakarta. This activityalso included intensive training on the use and maintenance of the equipment toensure optimal and sustainable operation. The training was held at PT HabitatHijau Lestari and attended by the Chairman of CEHP UNUSA, Achmad Syafiuddin,Ph.D., and the Director of PT Habitat Hijau Lestari, Mrs. Vickie.
On the occasion, the Chair of the UNUSA CEHP, AchmadSyafiuddin, Ph.D., outlined the significant benefits of using the UNUSA-Incineratorin addressing waste issues. He emphasized that many regions face seriouschallenges due to poorly managed waste. Furthermore, open burning of waste hasled to air pollution, which negatively impacts the environment and publichealth.
The UNUSA-Incinerator offers an innovative solution toreduce waste through an environmentally friendly closed combustion method. Thisclosed combustion system allows for more efficient waste management whilereducing smoke emissions into the air. With its technology, theUNUSA-Incinerator can process smoke to produce smokeless combustion, creating acleaner and healthier environment.
Training on the use and maintenance of theUNUSA-Incinerator provided in-depth technical understanding for PT HabitatHijau Lestari staff. This is crucial for the equipment's smooth operation andextended lifespan. Assistance from the CEHP UNUSA also ensured that each stageof use followed procedures, ensuring the technology's full benefits.
The successful installation of the UNUSA-Incinerator atPT Habitat Hijau Lestari is part of a collaborative effort to createsustainable waste management and combat air pollution caused by open burning. This technological innovation is expected to serve as an example for othercompanies and communities in implementing cleaner and more environmentallyfriendly waste management systems.
