Head of CEHP Receives Award from Mayor of Surabaya for Development of UNUSA-Water Installation
The Head of CEHP, Achmad Syafiuddin, Ph.D., has once again received an award for his innovation, UNUSA-Water. The award was presented by the Mayor of Surabaya through the Head of Tenggilis Mejoyo Subdistrict and represented by Rizki Amalia, SST., M.P.H., as secretary of LPPM UNUSA. The award was given for the success of the UNUSA-Water innovation, which has been installed in Kendangsari to treat household wastewater.
The installation of UNUSA-Water technology supports the domestic wastewater treatment program, one of the five main pillars of the national community-based total sanitation program launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. UNUSA-Water is capable of treating domestic wastewater into clean water, which is then used by residents to water their plants. Additionally, this innovation is expected to increase the economic value of the community in Kendangsari, which plans to open a motorcycle washing service.
CEHP is fully committed to ensuring that UNUSA-Water and UNUSA-Incinerator innovations continue to provide effective solutions that can overcome various environmental problems. Through the application of the latest and environmentally friendly technologies, these innovations not only efficiently solve water and waste problems but also actively support government programs focused on improving the quality of the environment in communities. As such, CEHP acts as an agent of change striving to ensure the sustainability of natural resources and environmental health for current and future generations.
